Interest in my past started in earnest when, in the early 1990's, my husband began his quest after seeing an Irish Tourist Board advertisement on a London Underground train depicting a country bar with the name 'Tomasin's' over the door.
I have since found both my paternal & maternal lines had become entwined in South Gloucestershire after moving from Somerset and Wiltshire in the 1800's. Along the way I found, and have included here on this site, spouses and siblings of those who came before me bearing other family names - COOPER, COWDRY, FARLEY, LAMBERT, HOPES, REED, TOMASIN & VICARY etc. - and no doubt there will be more from the past to add in the days to come!
